KJAZZ Radio UK welcomes Ronald Hutchens, primarily a pianist/keyboardist who self produces and records his own work. Ronald represents the ethos of KJAZZ Radio UK great music from a musician that is not on every Radio Station but in our opinion should be. Fusing elements of electronica, smooth grooves coupled with a musician that understands the smooth jazz genre Ronald delivers a refreshing yet relaxing feel to his music a great way to chill.

Comments and what others are saying about Ronald Hutchens
“Here is a case of a somewhat unheralded artist, Ron Hutchens, with more than a bit of talent. Quite a bit more than a bit, in fact. This project, Something In Blue, is a clear statement of what we sometimes miss when looking away from those who are not necessarily household names in the business. This artist, primarily a pianist/keyboardist who plays all of the instruments on this self-produced recording, may well be one of the better kept secrets in the world of smooth jazz, especially where incorporating a bit of electronica is concerned. One listen to the level of skill, the appealing phrasing, and the full grasp and insight of what works in this particulare arena of smooth jazz, and you are confronted with the realization that Hutchens just may know more than a little something about this genre.” – The Smooth Jazz Ride
Absolutely love the groove and mood in your music Ron! great for drive time, and would be great to experience it in a live show. – Joanna
This is an outstanding and refreshing break from most of the music on the scene today. Ronnie’s heart and soul is in this and even though he’s a seasoned musician, this is lite, easy to listen to and relaxing. He didn’t complicate it and it leaves you feeling rested after a long hard day. I’d recommend this to old and young alike to ease the tensions in today’s pressure filled day! – Grady Edwin Adams
